March 18, 2019 | Media

Fusion Corps, Cistercian’s robotics team, is in the midst of its competition season. They had their first competition in Plano from March 14-16. After falling from 2nd to 15th during the heat of the qualification matches due to some issues with their robot, they battled back rising as high as the 2nd seed before finishing fourth overall. The team then captained the fourth overall alliance and defeated the fifth alliance in the quarterfinals before falling to the first alliance in the semifinals. The judges at the competition also acknowledged the impressive effort and comeback of the team by awarding them the Judges Award.

It was a strong start for Fusion Corps as they look forward to the Dallas District where they hope to qualify for the State Championship in Austin!
