Philosophy Seminar

October 25, 2024 | Media

Students in the senior seminar in philosophy enjoyed a guest lecture from UD professor Dr. Kevin Kambo. The boys have read through several dialogues of Plato this semester, and Dr. Kambo presented on themes in the final sections of “Phaedrus,” including the relation between knowledge and the tools and technologies that seem to enhance it. It is an ancient topic with lots of contemporary relevance, to say the least!

Beware the Ides of Form I

In Form I Social Studies, fifth graders were introduced to the life of Julius Caesar. Three students claimed to be the real Caesar, but only one was telling the truth. The other two were imposters. Using clues from each presentation, the rest of the class had to decide who was authentic.

Clean Water Supplies

Students in Forms VI and VII packed clean water supplies, including water bottles and iodine tablets, along with hygiene products such as soap and hand sanitizer, to be sent to communities around the world where access to clean water is limited.

Christmas Concert

Forms I and II shared their Christmas Concert with our community. Thank you to Mr. Lewis and the boys for a wonderful evening of music.
