Through its monastic heritage, Cistercian understands that the health of the community and the health of the individual are mutually dependent and mutually supportive. The School community exists to promote the growth and well-being of each individual member while each individual contributes his or her gifts and skills, at least in part, to strengthen the community.
In accordance with its mission Cistercian maintains a dense, multifaceted support network for each student. This robust support system allows students the freedom and encouragement needed to develop their strengths and face their weaknesses throughout their formative journey at Cistercian.
Because Cistercian promotes the well-being of the whole person, it assists students’ full development of their physical, spiritual, emotional, social, and intellectual gifts with dedicated and caring professionals in each of these competencies. While the Form Master serves as the centerpiece of this network of support, students also benefit from Health Care professionals safeguarding their physical well-being, a robust Campus Ministry to aid in their spiritual development, Counseling and Learning professionals who provide emotional and academic assistance, as well as Community Service and Engagement programs to promote empathy and social responsibility.
