Samuel Wilcox '19
Samuel Wilcox ’19 and a partner have developed a mattress technology that works to monitor patients and prevent pressure injuries in hospitals. This fall, they competed on Alabama Upstarts University Challenge, a pitch competition for young entrepreneurs in the state of Alabama and took home first place against teams from Alabama, Auburn and Birmingham Southern. Congrats, Samuel!

Keeping Irving Beautiful

Once a month during their free Activities period, Upper School students gather to pick up trash in partnership with the local nonprofit Keep Irving Beautiful. So far, their efforts have focused on areas affected by the frequently flooding creek that runs through campus and the underpass connecting UD and Cistercian.
