Ascend Screening Information

Required for all families and employees

As noted in prior “Friday Notes,” all families and employees of the School will be required to register for and use the Ascend Screening application. Along with daily temperature checks, parents will be required to complete the app each day before bringing student(s) to campus. Parents of students responding “yes” to overall symptom or screening questions should keep student home, monitor, and refer.

Instructions for Installing Ascend

  • Parents will receive an email from BaseCamp Health with individual username.
  • Follow instructions in their email to establish a password for the account.
  • Once you have your new password, click on the Ascend link in the email to reach the log-in page where you will enter your information.
  • Since the website works well on smart phones, there is no app for Ascend; however, you can set up a shortcut button on your phone or other device by following these instructions

Beware the Ides of Form I

In Form I Social Studies, fifth graders were introduced to the life of Julius Caesar. Three students claimed to be the real Caesar, but only one was telling the truth. The other two were imposters. Using clues from each presentation, the rest of the class had to decide who was authentic.

Clean Water Supplies

Students in Forms VI and VII packed clean water supplies, including water bottles and iodine tablets, along with hygiene products such as soap and hand sanitizer, to be sent to communities around the world where access to clean water is limited.

MLK Day of Service

Our Upper School students, faculty, and staff served across Dallas County for our MLK Day of Service.
