With the devastating wildfires in Maui occurring three weeks earlier, the freshman class held a donation drive in conjunction with their mixer. The effort raised $3,627 and increased awareness of Maui’s great need in the wake of this historic tragedy.

I recently presided at a funeral for a child who was stillborn. In preparing, I became convinced that such children and their parents are powerful witnesses to Christian faith. In this column, I’d like to reflect on these children, and in the next two columns on their parents.

The guys were on campus for Rec Camp, Soccer Camp, academic classes, and strength & conditioning.
And yet the sacramental gift remains a gift. Every priest stores within his heart unspeakable sadness and massive joy, uncertainty in meeting needs and gratitude for the aid of the Holy Spirit.
These fine gentlemen graduated on Saturday evening, grateful for the support of their parents, their teachers and coaches, and especially their Form Master Mr. Parker and their chaplain Fr. Raphael.
Last night was Senior Seminar Night. These seminars are a yearlong effort, and the presentations to distinguished guests, faculty members, parents, and fellow students are the pinnacle in our Form VIII student’s academic education.
